Other actions — Resistencia Lanzarote
Other actions
We are not alone. This is not a Lanzarote problem nor a Canarian one: all over Spain people are camped and organised for the same thing, and with them we share information, materials and calendar, without losing our autonomy or our focus on the island's reality.
Here we collect what we do together with other territories and the calls we join from here.
Together with the rest of Spain
- General strike for housing, 11 November. The VI Assembly unanimously agreed to support it and to keep the park as an information point. The Strike Committee works with the movements of other territories and with the trade unions: information in workplaces, schools and social centres, materials adapted to Lanzarote and a calendar of our own.
- Housing camps in other cities. Lanzarote joined the camps and protests for housing that spread across the Canary Islands and Spain in October 2026. We are in touch with the inter-territorial and culture group of the Sol camp (Madrid) and with the tenants' union to share experiences, documents and resources.
- Sindicato de Inquilinas de Lanzarote. The group that supports anyone with a rental problem is born inside the Assembly and coordinates with the tenants' unions of the rest of Spain.
- The council sessions. The demands will be taken to the sessions of Arrecife's council, the island Cabildo and, later, the other councils of the island, each one addressed to whoever holds the power: registration of residents, care for vulnerable people, housing solutions and housing policy.
