Timeline
Only what marks a stage, from the beginning to today. The day-to-day is in activities.
- September–October 2026. A rally and a march in Arrecife for the right to housing and the first two citizens' assemblies, out of which the working groups come.
- Sunday 4 October. March for the right to housing in Arrecife. Afterwards the working groups and the commission La Casa de Todos y Todas are created.
- Monday 5 October. The permanent protest in the Parque José Ramírez Cerdá begins: the first tents, under a pergola by César Manrique. The group La Casa de Todas is born.
- Wednesday 7 October. The island's press reports the camp. Assembly at 20:00 in the park.
- Thursday 8 October. Warning from the local police about the by-law and the protected status of the park. The protest stays as a peaceful gathering.
- Friday 9 October. First accompaniment of a family threatened with eviction: the eviction is halted.
- Saturday 10 October. VI Citizens' Assembly, one week of mobilisation. The movement is organised in four groups: La Casa de Todas, Comunicación Vivienda Lanzarote, Sindicato de Inquilinas de Lanzarote and Comité de Huelga General. Support for the general strike of 11 November, presence at council sessions and a wiki and community archive are approved. Minutes (PDF, in Spanish).
- Sunday 11 October. Popular “enyesque” for housing: workshops, storytelling, shared food and reading. This website is born.
- Tuesday 13 October. General Assembly with the resolutions of the four groups.
- 11 November. General strike for housing.
